Because of the fossil fuel limitation and environmental protection, the Laboratory of Thermal Energy Engineering in the Department of Chemical Engineering under the direction of Professor Fukai is dedicated particularly to the studies in energy conservasion for the purpose of a better life in the future.

The research in the laboratory is focused on thermal energy storage, heat recovery system, heat transfer enhancement and coal/biomass utilization. The research area also covers transport phenomena in droplet and thin film formation.

We welcome international students for Undergraduate and Graduate Programs in the research area.

RESEARCH GROUPS IN THE LAB. 4

THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE TEAM

クリックで拡大
Group of "Thermal Energy Storage" consists of heat transfer enhancement, chemical heat pump and heat transfer analysis of heat exchanger.

DROPLET TEAM

クリックで拡大
Group of "Droplet" investigates how to control thin film configuration. Experiment is performed to observe liquid drop using laser and numerical analysis is conducted to study the phenomena of internal flow.

COMBUSTION TEAM
