ResearchDesign, build, and understand life

We connect molecular design, cells and tissues, production processes, and data analysis.

Bioengineering,
from four angles.

Building on regenerative medical engineering, biological bioreactors, and gene delivery, we organize our current work into four interconnected areas.

01

SYNTHETIC BIOLOGYSynthetic Biology

We design and reconstruct cellular information processing using gene expression control, RNA sensing, viral vectors, and recombinant enzymes. Our work includes cell- and sequence-specific gene delivery and chromosome-based gene amplification.

02

CELL & TISSUE ENGINEERINGCell & Tissue Engineering

Through cell patterning, 3D tissue construction, stem-cell differentiation, encapsulation, and culture technologies, we build functional cell and tissue systems for regenerative medicine and artificial organs.

03

BIOPHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTIONBiopharmaceutical Production

Using CHO cells and genetically modified organisms, we develop productive, high-quality platforms for biopharmaceutical manufacturing, including transgenic avian bioreactors for protein production in eggs.

AI & BIOENGINEERINGAI & Bioengineering

We integrate image analysis, machine learning, and time-series analysis to quantify and predict cellular and tissue states, movement, and function—turning subtle biological changes into actionable data.

From idea to
implementation.

We move iteratively between design, construction, production, and analysis.

01 / DESIGN

Design

Define genetic, RNA, and cellular systems around a target function.

02 / BUILD

Build

Reconstruct biological function as experimental cell and tissue systems.

03 / PRODUCE

Produce

Translate systems into robust processes for proteins and other products.

04 / ANALYZE

Analyze

Quantify and predict function using imaging, time-series data, and AI.
